DRUM & BASS NATION
In September 2019, I started 'Drum & Bass Nation' - a DJ radio show where I play music live and discuss the songs and artists.
-
In 2022, 'Drum & Bass Nation' was nominated into the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Awards for "Best Live Music Broadcast". This is a national competition for college radio in the United States.
-
I designed the show logo with Adobe Photoshop, and also upload videos to YouTube. All of my editing is done in Adobe Premiere Pro.
-
In 2023, 'Drum & Bass Nation' was accepted as an official international show on Data Transmission Radio - one of the largest online platforms in electronic dance music.
In Spring 2021, I joined 'Good Morning FTC', the college's official morning show, as a Host/Co-Host and Producer.
-
I was researched relevant news topics to the FTC/Suffolk County community prior to going live. This included campus, local/national news, entertainment, and sports.
-
I also led on-air discussions with my co-hosts and kept timing so we would appropriately reach break points (songs/PSAs/Legal IDs).
I was also part of 'Anything & Everything' - a talk show which held a similar format to 'Good Morning FTC'.
-
I was a Host/Co-Host, Producer, and News Update person. I researched different news topics depending on my role to discuss on air.
-
I worked with 5 other people, and gained good communications skills both on and off-air in order to fulfill the requirements of this show.
In Spring 2022, I joined the WFTU Radio Club show 'Raised on the Radio' as a Host/Co-Host, Producer, and Guest Speaker.
-
This show has a more laid-back focus that covers the national day, campus news, a game segment, and review segment.
-
I worked alongside the host/co-host and guest speakers so that we could look into the topics of discussion before going on air.
In Spring 2022 I also started my podcast series 'Behind The Decks'. It focuses on rising DJs/Music Producers in electronic music.
-
I write questions, contact guests, and edit the audio by myself. I designed the logo using Adobe Photoshop and edit audio in Adobe Audition.
-
The intro was created using a free song online that I edited in Audition as well.
